Vehicle Description Only 13 miles on a body off frame restoration as a gorgeous Chevelle SS.
Multiple year restoration by a passionate car enthusiast.
We've bought several cars from him over the years, and they have all been impressive.
EXTERIOR:
The finish looks better than when it left the factory new! New metal was used where needed, including new fenders, doors, rear quarters.
It has the raised SS hood with racing pins.
All panels line up nicely ensuring proper closing hood, doors, and trunk.
The paint is gorgeous, deep Mulsanne blue with slick to the touch black SS stripes.
The black power convertible top is new.
New chrome bumpers, SS emblems, grill, marker lights, mirros and handles.
Upgraded LED taillights.
A new windshield was installed, original side is still very good.
New 15 inch polished Torque Thrust wheels with Cooper Cobra tires, the bubs are still on the tread.
INTERIOR:
The interior is impressive.
New door panels fit nicely.
All new SS gauges, instrument panel, dash pad, vents and wiring.
A retro radio with aux has been added.
The front seats have new original style reupholstery, and it still claims its original rear seat that looks excellent! The carpet was replaced and fits tightly.
The console with staple shifter appears to be original and excellent.
The power convertible top is in working condition.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT:
Oh yeah! A 454 making 400 hp sits under the hood of this one.
It was rebuilt about 1,000 miles ago.
On the outside it has new aluminum Holley intake, dual feed Holley Carb, HEI ignition and long tube headers.
Accessorized with chrome Chevrolet valve covers, timing cover, chrome brackets, power steering, and alternator.
All new power brakes with dual reservoir and brake booster.
Upgraded aluminum water pump and radiator, new fan and shroud.
Overall nice looking motor compartment.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT:
Under the trunk lid is painted as glossy as the rest of the car, including the jamb.
New weatherstripping was installed.
The rock solid trunk is rust free, and has a clean gray and black spatter finish.
UNDERSIDE:
Body off restoration that looks fresh! The suspension and steering were gone through.
Upgraded tubular control arms and swaybar in back.
All new front disc brakes were installed, and the rear drum brakes were rebuilt, e-brake assembly is hooked up.
The gas tank and straps are new.
A complete Pypes exhaust with X-pipe, stainless mufflers, and SS tips.
Looking up at the motor everything looks fresh.
It has a chrome fuel pump, flywheel cover and an extra capacity oil pan.
The Turbo 400 was rebuilt.
12 bolt rear end believed with 3.
31 gears.
The floors and frame are rock solid! They have been completely restored to look fresh and are finished in a nice satin black with chip guard on the flooring.
SERVICE:
It went through our shop for service and inspection.
We installed a new starter, throttle cable, horn, front seatbelts, and correct speedo gear.
The carb was adjusted for smooth idle.
Nothing screams muscle like an early 70's Chevelle.
You'll enjoy this one with the top up or down.
The beautiful blue with bright trim and wheels and 454 rumble just makes everything tie together.
