Vehicle Description I bought this car back from the people I sold it to 20 years ago.
They kept it in excellent condition.
This Skylark is full of options and good looks.
It is equipped like a GS- suspension, gauges, spoiler, wheels, mirrors & motor.
EXTERIOR:
It is a looker.
Handsome body style and it's decked out with extra bright red paint, GS wheels, sport mirrors and a spoiler.
This paint job is over 20 years old and it's held up really well.
Each side of the car and across the tops of the car is straight.
It's straight all along the bottom, I don't see any bubbles.
The paint is polished smooth and glossy.
There will be a couple touch ups or minor imperfections, but you'd have to look for them.
Up front everything fits real nice, the bumper's been rechromed, the grill is excellent.
In back the bumper is rechromed and also fits real nice.
Door jambs are painted nice, the weather strips and window seals have been replaced.
Convertible top is white with a glass window.
The weather strips are replaced on the top frame.
The chrome GS 14 inch wheels are in very good condition, the center caps look new.
BF Goodrich tires look new.
The windshield's been replaced.
INTERIOR:
Very nice unabused interior with some nice features.
It has GS gauges and tachometer in the dash, also a speed minder on the speedometer.
The tilt column has a deluxe wheel.
The bucket seats have a console in between them.
There are even power windows, a nice feature in a convertible.
The instrument area is all clean and tidy- the vents, knobs, dash pad, kick panels are all really good.
Down on the floor the carpet is real nice and it has some nice Skylark floor mats.
The upholstery and door panels overall are very good with a few imperfections.
There's a small tear and the driver's seat, some small cracks on the lower passenger seat.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT:
Very clean engine compartment.
The 350 motor has the four barrel carb and HEI ignition.
Dressed up with chrome valve covers, stock air cleaner is complete with heat riser tubes and new decal.
Features include power steering, power brakes and cruise control.
Water pump is new, upgraded radiator.
The shroud, fan and overflow bottle are proper.
The alternator looks new.
Clean firewall, squirters are hooked up.
The metal surfaces are painted nice.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT:
Solid metal, it's had a new trunk floor welded in.
Gray and white spatter finish paint.
It also has the rubber mat and matching tire cover.
It has the complete jack and spare assembly.
The well liner and weather strip were replaced.
The bottom of the trunk lid and the jambs are painted glossy.
The trunk light works.
UNDERSIDE:
Underneath this car looks very nice.
It has the sport suspension which includes boxed control arms, front and rear sway bars.
Shocks were just replaced.
The front end looks like it's been gone through- ball joints, bushings, tie rod ends have been replaced at some point.
It has disc brakes in front, new e-brake cable.
Dual exhaust has recent mufflers.
Bottom of the motor looks clean, the fuel pump looks fresh.
It has a Turbo 350 automatic and 10 bolt rear end with a chrome cover.
In my opinion this is a perfect car to run around with.
It's comfortable, it's sporty to look at, has a lot of features.
It's also exceptionally clean and easy to maintain.
It's an easy car to resell.
