Vehicle Description This one of the rarest Thunderbirds made.
The Mark T edition was dealer installed from 1971-1973 and just a few made in 1970.
It included a custom made fiberglass hood and header panel, custom bumper, headlights and a Lincoln Mark lll grill.
The top was unique as well.
This one has only 68,617 miles and has been very well cared for.
EXTERIOR:
The body looks straight, rust free, damage free.
The body gaps line up real well.
The fiberglass hood and header panel are straight and fit right.
It was completely repainted a beautiful turquoise color.
The metal flake is evenly laid out with a glossy clear coat.
The original alligator grain white vinyl top is in good shape.
The chrome and trim overall is very good.
In front is an actual Lincoln Mark lll grill.
The bumper was completely cut and modified.
The plastic tail light lense is still real nice.
It has baby moon chrome wheels and Hankook radial tires.
INTERIOR:
Unabused original condition.
The dash area actually looks pretty excellent.
The lenses, gauges, the sparkling chrome, woodgrain trim is pristine.
It has one hairline crack on the dash pad.
Inside the glove box looks new, it has a power trunk release and the owner's manuals.
The original AM radio is in the dash but there is a hidden stereo system.
The white upholstery and door panels are very nice condition considering their age.
The headliner and visors are real nice.
No cracks in the steering wheel.
The carpet is excellent.
Interior lights work.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT:
Big 429 Thunderjet 4-barrel engine makes 360 hp and 480 lbs of torque.
It's sitting in a well maintained engine compartment.
Features include air conditioning, power steering and power brakes.
New alternator, battery is bolted down properly and has a disconnect switch.
It's not detailed but everything looks proper and clean.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT:
The trunk is giant and has rock solid original metal.
It has a full size spare and it's original jack.
It has the sideliner walls but the trunk mat is gone.
UNDERSIDE:
I see what looks like a completely rust free underside.
There's no signs of rotten metal or patchwork, even the chassis components are smooth clean metal.
It does look like it's recently been given new gas shocks, the dual exhaust also looks new.
The bottom of the motor is clean, not greasy.
The starter looks new.
It has it's original C-6 automatic trans, original rear and still have original tags.
Front and components look clean.
Disc brakes in front, the emergency brake cables are still hooked up.
If you like unique, here you go! Certainly a conversation starter.
