1 of 50
Vehicle Description Only 225 miles since a frame off custom build was finished.
They did a great job picking colors, wheels and custom features.
Subtle, yet turns heads.
Everyone here loves how it looks.
Excellent fit and finishes.
I drove the car home, it rides comfortably and ran great.
EXTERIOR:
I love the bubble body of a 50 Chevy.
They removed and filled the hood ornament, side moldings, emblems, trim and lock on the trunk.
The body has no issues, it's straight and fits really well.
Even the hood closes perfectly square.
The dove gray is polished to a smooth glossy finish.
The metal flake roof is laid out evenly and is also polished to a smooth glossy finish.
All of the trim that is remaining is show quality:
the entire grill, headlight bezels, lenses, stainless trim, bumpers, taillights, around the windows etc.
All new smoked glass, new windshields, new gaskets.
Door jambs are meticulous, new latches and weather strips.
It rolls on a great looking set of American Legend wheels:
17s in front, 18s in back.
They are wider in back with a taller tire.
INTERIOR:
Just as classy inside.
It has a two-tone gray upholstery on the seats and doors with the houndstooth that gives it a vintage custom look.
It has reclining bucket seats, the driver side is power.
There is a console in between with two cup holders.
It has seat belts front and back.
Real nice carpet down on the floor.
All the metal trim is painted as nice as the exterior.
The gauge cluster is vintage looking.
The tilt column has overdrive shift indicator, billet knobs and a gorgeous steering wheel.
There's a Kenwood stereo with door speakers and 6x9s in back.
The air ride is easily adjusted and displayed on a neatly installed digital screen.
Overhead it has a cloth headliner, visors and the dome light works.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT:
It has a perfect running 350 motor with double hump heads, a polished aluminum intake with an Edelbrock carb that has electric choke, HEI ignition system and a set of headers.
Dressed up with a smooth aluminum air cleaner, valve covers and breathers.
In front it has aluminum pulleys, chrome plated a/c compressor, alternator and power steering pump.
The power brake system is chromed.
A giant aluminum radiator keeps it running cool.
The engine bay is painted as nice as the car.
Stainless hardware was used throughout.
It has horns, heat, braided dipstick for the transmission.
TRUNK:
It opens by remote and it's completely boxed in and upholstered real nicely.
The compressor for the air ride and the battery is located behind the rear panel.
UNDERSIDE:
It has a new Mustang ll independent front suspension with chrome tubular upper and lower control arms, rack and pinion steering, new shocks and the springs have been replaced with Speedway air bags.
In back it has new springs, shocks and adjustable air bags.
The fuel system has been replaced including the tank, straps and sending unit.
New dual exhaust system with all welded seams.
If you look up at the motor it has a chrome oil pan and high torque starter.
It's connected to a 700R-4 overdrive automatic.
A custom made driveshaft goes back to a 10 bolt rear end.
It has disc brakes in front.
The floors and frame appear to be rock solid.
As I'm writing this a customer walked in my office telling me what a beautiful car the 1950 Chevy over in showroom 2 is.
We went on to discuss what a good job the builder did from concept to completion.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now.
A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking.
What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered.
One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
