Vehicle Description Wow is this a cutie.
Great colors, the red interior against the black paint is stunning.
It was thoroughly restored.
Just recently $12,098 was just spent on mechanical work including upgrading it to a 5-speed for better cruising speeds.
It also has been upgraded with turn signals.
EXTERIOR:
The body is mint with no rust or damage.
There are multiple layers of black paint polished smooth and glossy.
The original chrome was replated.
The hood handles have MG logos.
The logos on the headlamps match the fender lights.
The convertible top and side curtains were restored.
It has a German cloth boot when the top is down.
The wheels have been repainted in metallic silver, the hubcaps look excellent.
All 5 tires were replaced, the spare has never been used.
The windshield has wing windows and it folds down.
There are optional fog lamps in front and luggage rack in back mounted over the spare tire.
INTERIOR:
Completely restored.
Genuine leather upholstery on the seats and doors.
It has been recarpeted and there are embroidered MG floor mats.
The dash area is in real nice shape.
The original gauges work, steering wheel is in excellent condition with no cracks.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT:
The motor was just completely rebuilt, not more than a couple hundred miles ago.
It has an improved cam, heavier springs, larger valves and a ported head.
It runs on pump gas.
The SU carbs were rebuilt with bigger jets.
The generator and voltage regulator were rebuilt, it was converted to negative ground.
It has a new factory wire harness.
They used factory correct hoses, clamps and plug wires.
It is dressed up beautifully with finned valve cover and side cover.
It has chrome air cleaners on the dual carbs.
The original jack is in the firewall box.
The original ID tags are on the firewall.
UNDERSIDE:
Under this car is exceptionally nice.
It looks like just about every nut and bolt have been apart and the components were restored.
There is an aluminium finned oil pan.
The 4-speed was professionally upgraded with a Ford 5-speed so you can cruise easier at highway speeds.
This was done with a kit and instructions made for this car, it was a professional job.
Stainless steel exhaust system with a polished muffler.
The floors are completely solid and painted black.
Driving a vintage English sports car is a lot of fun.
The sound and feel are exhilarating.
This is a perfect car to enjoy that experience.
