Vehicle Description Only a handful of miles since a body off frame restoration.
This is the poster child of the muscle car era- a red 70 Chevelle with black stripes and SS option.
Very desirable features include cowl induction,, factory gauges and a new Vintage Air system.
EXTERIOR:
Classic signature colors- Cranberry red, black stripes and no vinyl top.
It has an actual cowl induction hood with the flapper door and racing pins.
The body is beautiful.
It is straight everywhere, smooth on the bottoms.
I don't see any bubbles, damage or cracking.
The red paint is polished out like glass, it has a mirror reflection from the rockers to the roof.
Correctly painted black stripes.
It looks like all of the exterior trim is new.
Upfront the grill, emblem, headlight bezels, hood pins, bumper, turn signal lenses are all new.
On the sides the emblems, door handles, mirror stainless steel trim around the hood, windows, gutters are new.
In back the emblem, taillights, SS bumper pad were replaced.
The door jambs are painted real nice, new weather strips, window seals and sill plates.
The 14 SS wheels are repainted, his new lug nuts and trim rings, original center caps.
Tires look good.
INTERIOR:
Do you like to sit close to your sweetie? Here you go, it is decked out with factory gauges, a deluxe wheel on a tilt column and a bench seat.
I'm sitting in the car right now, unfortunately by myself and not with my sweetie.
Every thing looks new.
The seat feels like it has new cushion, both seats are reupholstered including headrests.
The door panels and armrests are new.
In front of me is an all new instrument panel with shiny chrome details, new dash pad, new SS gauges with the tachometer and working clock.
It has a retro stereo in the factory hole.
The climate controls are updated with Vintage Air electric sliders.
It has a tilt column with a new deluxe wheel.
New carpet down on the floor, overhead is a new headliner and visors.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT:
You will open the hood and see a beautifully restored, rebuilt and detailed motor compartment.
It's full of features aside from the big block motor.
It has a complete cowl induction system, air conditioning, power steering and power brakes.
The 396 motor is a CE (counter exchange) replacement.
Correct casting dates and codes.
It has a factory aluminium intake and custom aluminum heads.
Estimated to be putting out around 375 hp.
New Vintage Air heat and a/c system.
The pulleys, alternator, wiring, valve covers look new.
The metal surfaces are painted smooth and glossy.
The squirters are hooked up, cowl induction system is complete.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT:
Solid metal trunk with gray spatter paint.
The bottom of the trunk and the jamb is gloss red, new weather strip.
UNDERSIDE:
Wow, it's beautiful under here.
The body was removed from the frame for a complete restoration.
The chassis is detailed like a model car.
The front end is completely rebuilt- ball joints, bushings, shocks, springs, sway bar, center link, tie rod ends etc.
It's all painted and detailed.
In back it has boxed control arms, new shocks.
Looking up at the motor it looks brand new.
The freeze plugs are not painted over.
The fuel pump, motor mounts, flywheel cover and starter are new.
The Turbo 350 looks fresh.
Driveshaft is painted.
It has a 12 bolt rear.
The brakes are redone, the front discs look all new.
E- brakes cables are hooked up.
The exhaust is new, has Flowmaster mufflers.
The fuel system is new- tank, straps, sending unit.
The floors, braces, lower quarters, inner rockers are all clean metal.
Very neatly painted a smooth semi gloss finish.
